Daddy and Daughter (Part II)

We visited VivoCity yesterday. Qianyi let Daddy carry her. She let him hold her hand too. It made shopping so much easier for me. We used to bring along her stroller a few months ago but now she refused to sit in it. I got to carry her most of the time without a stroller and that was the root cause of my lower back pain.

Daddy also spent some time with her at the playground. It's a fun way to bond with her.

We went to Giant later. After sitting her in the shopping trolley, I let Daddy push it. She resisted it at first but gave in later because Daddy "kept trying" by saying "Let Daddy push lah". Haha... She then smiled happily being pushed by Daddy.:)

Daddy and Daughter

Daddy used to be quite unhappy because our little sweetheart was too attached to Mummy. She didn't let him hold her little hand when we were taking a walk. She didn't want him to carry her. When she was sitting in a shopping trolley, she didn't want him to push it.

Things have changed. Daddy started chasing after her to feed her rice during weekends. I told him it's the best way to slim down. He made a special effort and he managed to win her heart. Now she lets him hold her little hand when we are taking a walk.:)

Somersaults At Bedtime

Sigh, Qianyi's more interested in doing somersaults than sleeping when her bedtime beckons.

Our Home Activities

When I felt enthusiastic the other day, I printed out a Baby Bop colouring page and taught Qianyi how to colour within the lines. It's not easy. I had to hold her hand to do so. If not, she would just doodle. I also drew some shapes and objects. I held her hand but let her guide all the way to join the same shapes or objects with a line. Unfortunately, I'm not always that enthusiastic!

I prefer to play music with Qianyi. When she's blowing her saxophone, I would play the little piano. It's noisy but fun. She enjoys dancing with her daddy too!

She learnt ABC from the vcds... She can recite A to Z except LMN (she would skip these 3 alphabets by saying "aiyaaiya" three times). I would step on the alphabets and sing the Alphabet Song for her.

I told Hubby that it's his turn to do something with our little princess one weekend. Hubby decided to do drawing with her in the living room. Teacher Linda told me Qianyi's a carbon copy of her daddy during our PTA meeting. Well, she's not the first one to say so. There's a strong resemblance between them.

She enjoys doodling a lot...

We bought an easel for her last weekend. She can do her colouring, doodling or painting using the easel...there's no mess...so nice! :p

We've also bought a numbers pad called "Funky Footprints". When you step on a number, the pad will say it out! Qianyi keeps walking on it. She can recite 1 to 10 now. :)

Qianyi With Makeup

They were having a full dress rehearsal in school today for their Year-End Concert (next Fri). Qianyi came home with makeup... Gosh, look at her lipstick!

Sit Back & Relax

We bought an Ogawa massage chair! Hubby always feels exhausted after work and I'm always too tired to give him a proper massage. So, we need this wonderful chair. We take turns...to sit back and relax on the amazing chair...:)

Qianyi was enjoying the foot massage in the last photo...that's the free gift we received!

I Have A Daughter!

I called an old friend quite a while ago. She told me,"Hey, I have a daughter! She looks a lot like me!" She was so proud to tell me that she has a daughter...she forgot she has two sons too.

I have a daughter too...although she doesn't look like me. Sometimes while we are enjoying our quality time as a family, Hubby would suddenly say something like this, "We have a daughter! Can't believe we have a daughter now!" :p

I'm so grateful for the precious moments I spent with Qianyi. While we were in a crowded lift after I picked her up from school yesterday, she raised her little head and smiled at me. We didn't say anything, simply exchanged glances. We both felt very happy then. When she put on her glasses and cap, she would walk to me and smile until I say "you look so cool!"...this is something she picked up from her favourite Brainy Baby vcd. She always looks so adorable when she does that. When she runs with her daddy while I'm walking behind them, she would stop to wait for me and call me "Qianyi" loudly. She looks so cute whenever she calls me "Qianyi". Sometimes she would call me "mummy" too.

Isn't it amazing to have a daughter? I totally understand why other mummy bloggers claimed that they share a special bond with their daughters though they love their sons dearly too!

What's she saying??

I think the second part should be "it's a hat". Since she's putting the removal cup of her potty on her head, it makes sense when she says "it's a hat". But what about the first part? Can you figure it out? She would say that when she's putting the removal cup on her head. I don't know what she's trying to tell me. :(
